1. Changed Look
This is 3rd-time Maruti experimenting with the swift look. this time Maruti is stepping ahead and done a stellar job with design part. Though the core look remains unchanged Maruti puts enough effort to add some extra elements to design to make it look more sporty and different than its earlier version. Here we expect new headlights and taillights and new front grill with iconic curve shape intact.
2. No Change in Engine
You may get radical changes on exterior and interior, the engine will unchanged in new Maruti swift 2017. Maruti will continue offering the new swift with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engine. Though there may little improvement in power generated in the disel engine. The new Swift comes with both manual and AT – Automatic option in both petrol and diesel engine.
3. More Lighter & Stronger
New Swift borrows its platform from Baleno, the new Swift 2017 will be developed on the same platform as Baleno. With this, Maruti Swift will be 10 to 15 % lighter than Baleno. With less weight than earlier variants, you may see performance & mileage increase in new swift. Also, Maruti has put extra efforts to make the car fun drive, that includes wider axle tracks, a lower driver’s hip point, a lower centre of gravity and spring and damper settings closer to the Baleno RS. With media report, the current platform is considered more rigid and stiffer than the current one.
4. Attractive & Sporty Interior
Inside the cabin, you will get all new sporty interior in new Swift 2017. The dashboard is slick with new two pod instrument cluster & upmarket steering wheel. Though you may get a little extra in India bound swift. we are expecting here a fully loaded model to get new touch screen infotainment system compatible with apple car play and android auto play. The cabin is quite stretched than the current Swift’s: legroom is extended, inside cabin space is up 25 percent and boot space has increased from 200 litres to 254 litres.
5. Launching in 2018
